History
The Bad Ass may not be the most appetising of names for our
bistro but we decided it fitted in with all the "tongue
in cheek" names that already graced Edinburgh's famous
thoroughfare. And certainly the number of customers who want
to eat here is bottomless.
The name as it is pictorial depicts comes from a grumpy
old donkey and nothing to do with the nether regions though
that
is how the company got the title Below the Belt Food Company.
The Bad Ass exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere with old-style
charm, packed full of pictures, bullseye mirrors and candles.
A moody, chill-out bistro with comfy sofas to sip a chilled
glass of Chardonnay or two and scoff our delicious meals.
